Yes, I know this clip has been all over the blogosphere but it still makes me laugh. For those that haven’t seen it, this video clip is from the HBO comedy series “Flight of the Conchords”. Currently in the middle of their 2nd season, the musical comedy duo recently did a Korean karaoke-style musical bit. Bret does an awesome job singing in korean. I love the cheesy karaoke video images and the lyrics are simply hilarious – “sometimes love is as sweet as kalbi… sometimes love is as hard as a certain kind of stone used for building houses…” well done guys!

Well, that’s enough of me whining about work here on the blog. It only gets me more riled up about the whole situation. whatever. So, how about a korean DVD I recently watched? Temptation of Eve: A Good Wife was better than I expected. I was thinking it’d be some sort of lame korean version of a late night skinemax movie. And in some parts, it was. As a matter of fact, I personally thought it could have used a few more sex scenes in the flick but that’s just me. There was enough twists and turns in the plot that kept me interested til the very end though. Yes, the ol’ revenge/love triangle story reeks of B-movie cheese but the director (Kwak Jeong-Deok) kept things moving at a good pace and the fact that Jin Seo-Yeon is easy on the eyes didn’t hurt either. Oh and I liked the little twist at the very end too. It’s nothing too serious and nothing to really think about. If you’re in the mood for an enjoyable late night korean flick, you may want to check it out.

See, the AAJA’s response letter concerning this incident.

and it doesn’t end there. Al Roker (along with Hoda Kotb) goes for the bottom of the barrel by attempting “Lee” and “asian straw hat” jokes. now, who the fuck thought this segment was going to be funny? Did it take a team of Today show writers to come up with this crock of shit?
